Special Event with The Most Venerable Lama Niytrul Rinpoche: Vajravali – Garland of 45 Empowerments (English) – 16 April/8 May 2018

The Vajravali or Vajra Garland is a collection of tantric empowerments and sadhana practices systemized by Abhayākaragupta (Jigme Jungne Bepa) in the 12th century.  He was a Buddhist monk, scholar and tantric master and the abbot of Vikramasila, one of medieval India’s main study and practice centers of tantric Buddhism. Ven. Lama Nyitrul Rinpoche, one of the great lamas of our time who holds many precious and rare lineages of Sutra and Tantra. He resides at Longchu Monastery in Yushu, Tibet/China and has been invited by Lama Gangchen Rinpoche to give the 45 empowerments of the Vajravali cycle. The Vajravali is a compendium of texts of the various tantric deities and rituals. It is important because it comprises a single harmonized tantric ritual system or Ocean of Mandalas that can be applied to all tantric Buddhist mandalas. The cycle contains empowerments and blessing rituals of various aspects of deities including  Kalachakra, Guhyasamaja, Heruka, Yamantaka, Hevajra, Vajrayogini,  and the Five Buddha Families. Each of the 45 Vajravali tantras has an associated mandala.The event will be held at the Temple of Heaven on Earth at the AHMC, where the 45 Vajravali mandalas are represented on the ceiling of 108 mandalas. Many additional programs will take place from May 8 onwards, including a four day Rabne Chenmo ceremony and the VESAK celebrations and concluding on May 29. In occasion of this unique event, we will be blessed by the presence of a large international assembly of masters, lamas, geshes and monks from China, Nepal, Mongolia, India, USA, EU, Switzerland, Brazil, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Taiwan, all gathered at the Albagnano Healing Meditation Centre. This auspicious event is dedicated to World Peace, environmental Peace and the prosperity of Italy and the World.
