Maitri Kachod – Enlightened female energy
There are, in the tradition of vajrayogini three principal lineages: Naro Kachod, Maitri Kachod and Indra Kachod who are, respectively, the dakinis of Mahasiddha Naropa, Maitripa and Indrabhuti. Maitripa was a disciple of the Mahasiddha yogini Lakshminkara, a previous reincarnation of Lama Ganchen. While the principal of the three practices is that of Naropa, all three of these lineages are still present and form part of the thirteen Sakya Golden Dharmas. For Vajrayogini practitioners it is important to receive the blessings of all the principal lineages of the Dakinis. It is said that reciting the mantra of Vajrayogini with faith can bring liberation in one lifetime.
