84 Mahasiddhas Empowerments
Lama Ganchen Rinpoche will confer these empowerments; Mahasiddha signifies ‘great realised one’ and refers in this instance to 84 great yogis and meditatorsof the past who have contributed to the spreading of tantric teachings. Following their example one may lead a spiritual life without changing one’s daily life.

Teaching on Panchen Zangpo Tashi text
Panchen Zangpo Tashi is a previous incarnation of TYS Lama Gangchen Rimpoche who was the heart disciple of Gendun Drub, the first Dalai Lama. Zangpo Tashi was the second abbot of Tashilhunpo monastery in Shigatse, Tibet, the seat of the Panchen Lamas, and his collected works cover many interesting subjects on sutra and tantra. Lama Caroline will assist Lama Gangchen and explain it.

The first volume of the Collected Works of Panchen Zangpo Tashi gathers his sutra writings on the key mahāyāna philosophical subjects of taking refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Saṅgha; the workings of karma – cause and effect; the tenets of Buddhist and non-Buddhist world views; a key to the Mādhyamaka or ‘Middle Way’ philosophy (which is considered by the lamas of Tibet to reflect the worldview of Śākyamuni, the historical Buddha); a commentary on Ćandragomin’s explanation of the bodhisattva vows and lastly, a short description of Buddhist cosmology.

The second volume of Panchen Zangpo Tashi’s Collected Works will contain his tantric writings, while volume three will contain his writings on medicine and astrology.
