Sitatapatra is considered a special manifestation of Tara as well as the female equivalent of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of compassion. His white umbrella has the power to protect against negative information, astrological interferences, collective violence, against causes that create psychological problems, as well as to pacify obstacles, arguments, disputes. He helps us not only to win over external violence but also, to heal our inner personal violence that pushes us to behave aggressively and violently every moment of our daily lives.
